This book is going to introduce you to a new way of looking at the creation account in Genesis 1.

Genesis 1 is of particular importance as a consequence of its position at the beginning of the Jewish and Christian faiths. It is with a sense of great responsibility that we venture to offer a different perspective on this most foundational of texts.

It’s our belief that we’re getting close to the time when we won’t need to discuss these things in a theoretical sense any more, for we’ll be living them. But we need to make sure our house is in order first. This book is not about getting your house in order. But it will hopefully give you a better appreciation as to why it’s important that you do. We can get so caught up in day-to-day concerns that we don’t see the forest for the trees. Our goal is to help you see the forest.

What we’re going to reveal in this book could revolutionise the way you think about God, the Bible, the world, and your place in it. It’s not the full story, but it is the beginning of the story, and the beginning is often the best place to start.
